Adult Depression Therapy · Seattle Metro & Statewide Telehealth

Depression care from a practice where you're a person, not a profile.

Not a directory, not a platform. A real local practice where one therapist gets to know your story. Most insurance accepted.

Where is depression hitting hardest for you right now?

Because I want a therapist who really gets to know me.

If this sounds familiar

You've had care that treated the diagnosis, not you.

The next step is five short questions about how depression is showing up for you now. Not another 'have you tried exercise' conversation.

  • Mornings are a negotiation. Getting out of bed feels like work, and the work hasn't gotten easier with time
  • You're sleeping twelve hours and still wiped out by lunch, or you can't fall asleep at all and the nights are starting to feel longer than the days
  • Your body is heavy in a way that isn't mood. Showering takes a running start, food has stopped tasting like anything, the couch has become your address
  • You've done CBT. You're on the medication. You exercise when you can. The flat stayed flat, and every follow-up has been someone telling you to be patient with the SSRI
  • You tried a platform (BetterHelp, Cerebral) and nobody there knew enough about you to actually help

Because I want care that takes the heaviness seriously.

What's possible

A therapist who knows your story by the second session. A plan that fits you.

Clients describe what changes first as the basics returning: sleep getting unbroken, the molasses lifting an hour at a time, the morning negotiation getting shorter.

  • Sleep returning to a normal length, because the depression is treated as a body state, not just a thinking pattern
  • The morning negotiation getting shorter, because energy and motivation are part of the plan, not a separate problem
  • Sit down with a therapist who actually knows your situation, same-week, and stays your therapist every session

Because I want a plan that meets my body, not lectures it.

A person sitting in tall grass at golden hour, looking out over water, settled and present

How it works

One step from you. Here's what we do next.

From quiz to first appointment in the same week. Kaiser, Aetna, UnitedHealthcare and Cigna accepted.

  1. Take the short quiz

Five quick questions about how depression is showing up for you now and what kind of care fits. About one minute.

  2. We'll reach out within 24 hours

A real person calls to verify your insurance, answer questions and walk through which depression therapist on our team is the best fit for what you're looking for.

  3. Meet with your therapist in the same week

Telehealth across Washington or in-person in Seattle, Burien or Arlington. A first appointment that takes the time depression actually needs.

Because I want a clear path, not another waitlist.

What you'll find here

A real local practice, the opposite of an app full of strangers.

A multi-modality team trained in CBT, EMDR, IFS and body-based work, matched to how depression is actually showing up. The kind of depression care most Seattle practices treat as something extra.

  • Whole-body lens, not just talk therapy

Depression isn't just a thinking problem. We treat the whole state of it: sleep, energy, motivation and the body, alongside the mood.

  • More than one modality, matched to how depression shows up

CBT, EMDR, IFS and body-based work, matched to how depression is actually showing up for you. Our intake team finds the therapist whose mix fits.

  • Coordinated with psychiatry when medication is part of the plan

Our psychiatric providers work in the same practice as your therapist, from the same plan. No separate search, no parallel tracks.

Because I want depression care that treats more than my thoughts.

On the right track after years of misdiagnoses

For years I had struggled with mental health and felt discouraged via misdiagnoses, medications and natural remedies that just were not helping me. Now almost three years later as Melissa's client, I'm on and have been on the right track and my quality of life is so much better. Our first consultation was one hour long and I poured my heart out and she was so comforting and reassuring.

A weight lifted off after the first session

I felt overwhelmed telling my story that I had to remember to breathe calming myself down. I can't believe it has been a little over an hour but I felt lighter. A weight lifted off me. Thank you Katie for listening.

When depression takes hold, even small things feel like too much. Mornings drag. The energy you used to count on just isn't there. I work with adults who are tired of feeling flat and want to feel steady again. I use CBT, DBT, EMDR and mindfulness, matched to what is actually weighing you down. We will go at a calm pace, and the work will feel manageable. My goal is for the heavy days to start getting lighter.

Depression that comes from old wounds can leave you running on empty. You hold it together, but the tank is dry, and rest never seems to refill it. I work with adults carrying that kind of exhaustion. I use EMDR, IFS for the parts of you stuck in survival mode, and body-based work when the heaviness lives in your body. Together we ease the load. You can start to feel like yourself, with energy that lasts.

Some days depression makes everything feel gray and far away. You lose interest in things you used to like, and the spark is hard to find. I work with adults on that kind of low, flat feeling. I use CBT, DBT, EMDR and trauma-informed care, plus creative and nature-based tools when they fit. We work at a pace that feels safe. Bit by bit, color can come back and small things can start to matter again.

Depression can make you feel cut off, even from people you love. The heaviness sits there, and nothing quite reaches it. If that is where you are, you are not broken. I work with adults and teens, and I use EMDR, IFS and narrative therapy to gently loosen what is stuck. Pace matters to me. We will not rush, and you will always know why we are doing what we are doing. Real rest and steadier days can return.

Depression often settles into the body. Heavy limbs. No energy. Mornings that feel like wading through mud. That is real, and it makes sense to me. I am a counselor and a yoga instructor, so I use gentle body-based work and mindfulness alongside CBT. We meet the exhaustion where it actually lives, not just in your head. We will go slowly. The goal is steadier energy and feeling more like yourself again.

When depression hits during a hard season of life, the days can feel flat and long. You go through the motions, but the care for things has gone quiet. I work with adults and older adults on exactly this. I use EMDR, motivational interviewing and expressive arts, with a calm and grounded style. We will take it a step at a time. Slowly, real rest and a little more interest in your days can come back.

Depression can make even small days feel like too much to carry. The heaviness sits on everything, and it is hard to feel seen in it. I meet you with real attention, even on your worst days. I blend mindfulness, CBT, DBT and ACT to ease the weight and help things start to move again. We will find what gives your days a little meaning. My goal is for you to feel steadier, and more like yourself.

When depression sets in, it can feel like something just stopped working and you cannot name it. The energy is gone, and the days run together. I work with adults and teens on that stuck, heavy feeling. I blend CBT, DBT, EMDR and body-based work in a warm, collaborative space. We move at a pace that fits you. Together, the heaviness can start to lift, and real rest and motivation can return.

Depression can be hard on how you see yourself. You get tired, the days feel gray, and that quiet self-criticism gets loud. I work with adults on depression, anxiety, trauma and grief. I use CBT and a whole-person approach, and I keep a calm, unhurried pace. We will work on being kinder to yourself, not harder. Bit by bit, the weight can ease, and you can start to feel more like you again.

If depression has worn you down, I want our work to feel steady and hopeful. Not heavy. I am a marriage and family therapist. I work with adults, couples and veterans. I use CBT, solution-focused work and narrative therapy. Together we will work with the flatness, the grief and the days that feel stuck. We will find steady ground you can stand on. I will be in your corner the whole way.

Depression can leave you flat, like nothing is quite enough anymore. The mornings are hard, and the things that used to pull you forward have gone quiet. I work with adults on mood and the heaviness that comes with it. I use DBT and mindfulness, with a steady, grounded style. We will find traction one small step at a time. Slowly, your energy and your interest in things can start to return.

Where we see clients

Three Seattle metro offices, plus telehealth across Washington

Most clients meet their depression therapist at our Greenlake, Burien or Smokey Point office, or over secure video from anywhere in the state. Telehealth is the right answer on the days getting to an office is part of what depression has made hard. In-person matters for other clients, especially when getting out of the house is itself part of the work.

FAQs

Clients frequently ask us

Do you actually take my insurance?

We accept Kaiser Permanente, Aetna, UnitedHealthcare and Cigna. Most local depression specialists are out-of-network, which means out-of-pocket fees and partial reimbursement at best. Our intake team verifies your specific plan during the first call, before your first appointment, so there are no surprise bills.

How fast can I really be seen?

Most clients see their depression therapist within the same week of their intake call. That's not same-day and it's not a marketing line. It's the standard cadence the practice runs at, made possible by having a multi-modality team across three offices plus telehealth.

I've already tried CBT and antidepressants. What's different here?

Most depression treatment treats depression like a thinking problem. Our team treats it as the whole-body state it actually is: sleep, energy, motivation and the body alongside the mood and the thoughts. CBT is in the toolkit, but so are EMDR, IFS and body-based modalities, matched to how depression is showing up for you.

Will my therapist tell me to exercise, journal and be patient with the SSRI?

No. Those things can be part of a plan, but they are not the plan. Our therapists work with what depression is doing to your sleep, your body, your motivation and your nervous system, alongside the thoughts. The plan is concrete, specific and matched to you.

Do you handle medication too, or only therapy?

This page is for therapy. Our practice has psychiatric providers in the same building, so when medication is part of the picture we coordinate the therapy plan with the prescriber, working from the same chart. If you only need a therapist, that's also fine. Tell our intake team and we'll route from there.

Telehealth or in-person, what fits better?

Both work. Telehealth covers all of Washington state and is the right answer on the days getting to an office is itself part of what depression has made hard. In-person at our Greenlake, Burien or Smokey Point offices is the right answer for clients who need the structure of getting out of the house. The plan and follow-up cadence are the same either way.

I've tried an online therapy platform and nobody there knew enough about me to help. Is this different?

Yes. We're a real local practice, not a platform. You'll be matched with one therapist who takes the time to actually know your story, and you stay with that therapist. If the fit isn't right, our intake team can help you find a better one without starting your care over from zero.

What does the first appointment look like?

A real intake with time for what you're working with, what you've already tried and what kind of care fits. Not a fifteen-minute screener. You'll leave with a clear sense of which modality your therapist plans to lead with, the cadence of follow-ups and how the work moves forward.
